All hell breaks loose when a seventy-five year old woman hatches a plan to escape Covid-19 quarantine and her overbearing daughter.
TILLIE’S GREAT ESCAPE
In the early throes of the pandemic, I experienced first-hand the devastating effects quarantining and isolation had on the older community. TILLIE’S GREAT ESCAPE is a comedy-drama that hopefully brings joy and laughter while being sensitive to the Covid-19 devastation that was invading our lives. Although the story has comedic elements, inherent in the film are more serious issues: isolation, fear of dying, and emotional neglect.
